Ghost Netting
The World Cetacean Alliance visited the Brighton Etsy Team a few weeks ago to tell us about their latest project called Untangled. They say about the project: ' With the help of artists/designers/craftsmen we hope to ‘Untangle the Sea’. The aim of the project is to bring the problem of ghost gear (i.e. used, discarded fishing nets, lines etc…) in our seas to the surface, and to suggest ways to tackle the issue.' You can read more about it, and find out how to get involved yourself, HERE.
I decided I wanted to be involved so headed down to Cuckmere Haven yesterday to try and find some ghost netting for myself. There was loads of it all along the shoreline, you don't really notice just how much of it there is until you're looking for it. I came home with a massive bag of beach crap/ treasure and now I just have to decide what I'm going to do with it...
Also had my first 99 of the year so all in all it was a good day! I took a few pictures as Cuckmere Haven is such a beautiful place and you can see them below. Stay tuned for a post on what I've made with the ghost netting I found.

November and December Playlist
Here's what I was listening to in November and December:
Hot Chip covering Bruce Springsteen, need I say anymore:
Angel Deradoorian used to be in Dirty Projectors who I listened to sometimes but I wasn't a massive fan of the guy singers vocals, so I'm glad she's gone solo! Looking forward to hearing more of her work:
Jamie Woon feat Willy Mason:
Hinds
Joanna Newsom
Caught a really interesting iterview with Kadhja Bonet on Gilles Peterson's radio show, this was my favourite song they played along with it:
Benedict Benjamin
This isn't a new song but I heard it for the first time last month and couldn't get it out of my head:
